Torrance, Calif.-based LiveOffice sells storage and e-discovery services for corporate email,
social media and instant messaging communications. The company said it has approximately 20,000
customers in 50 countries using its online data archiving services.
Symantec said the acquisition will allow it to offer customers a choice between on-premise,
cloud or hybrid delivery of Symantec products. LiveOffice enables data retention and gives
employees Web-based access to email and other data. Symantec said the acquisition would give its
