Xyratex has announced the OneStor 2584, an ultra dense storage platform for Original OEM providers targeting converged infrastructure solutions and scale-out storage systems for the cloud and data centers. OneStor 2584 was designed to provide a solution to data management challenges with its flexible and scalable architecture. The solution offers a versatile enterprise storage solution design by using a modular, standards-based architecture, which combines storage density, server integration, intelligent platform management and power efficiency.
With its ultra-dense dense data storage architecture, the OneStor 2584 boasts up to two petabytes of enterprise grade storage in a standard data center rack with 3TB hard drives. This reduces complexity of multiple enclosures, increases reliability with less cabling, and improves rack utilization by up to 67% compared to current enclosure technologies.
